May was great. We worked on more stories with a leaner budget. Less than we anticipated of course, but there is a sense of progressive accomplishment. We also received a couple of unsolicited emails from readers who want to write for the magazine. So we decided to take the bold step of calling for entries.
This month, we reviewed a book about Murtala Muhammed and profiled auto entrepreneur, Innocent Chukwuma.
Here is the full list of stories we published in May.
Why is Ben Murray-Bruce angry?
Chinese companies in Africa have a CSR problem
Zamfara and the rising hope for Nigerian democracy
How Innocent Chukwuma built Nigeria’s most-recognised automotive brand
Was Murtala Muhammed a hero or villain?
18 lessons as Chimamanda Adichie goes to Yale
And yes, our cover this month was designed by the amazing Bertha Onyekachi, who drew her inspiration from the debate over the supposed illegality of prostitution in Nigeria.
We’ll be back next month with more stories.
