We are looking for stories.
We publish three types of content: reported writing, criticism, and fiction.
Our definition of reported writing is content written by a journalist who, in the course of writing, went somewhere and/or spoke to people and/or consulted credible documents. Criticism involves reviews of all kinds, from the personal to the political, to the inanimate. Fiction headlines the magazine’s literary sensibilities.
We do not encourage our contributors to work for free and the magazine has paid out more than N0.25 million since January 2018. However, to remain sustainable, payment is subject to the amount of revenues we receive from seed funding, advertising and donations.
Our goal is to curate some of the best writing out of Nigeria; writing that cuts across politics, economics and culture.
So if you have a story idea or a finished article or just want to be part of our growing editorial team, send a message to i.onyewuchi(at)qmarker.com. ✚
